Sam Case Elementary School participated in a state-wide competition with PDX Jazz. Students learned about jazz music, connected what they heard to visual art, and made their own artwork in response to how they experienced jazz. Seven of our Cubs were selected to display their artwork in the Portland Art Museum from the thousands of submissions. The exhibit will take place on Tuesday, June 21st from 10:30am – 7:00pm at the Sunken Ballroom. La escuela primaria Sam Case participó en una competencia estatal con PDX Jazz. Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre la música jazz, conectaron lo que escucharon con el arte visual y crearon sus propias obras de arte en respuesta a cómo experimentaron el jazz. Siete de nuestros Cachorros fueron seleccionados para exhibir sus obras de arte en el Museo de Arte de Portland entre miles de presentaciones.
