We have one important reminder to help us keep dismissal safe and moving smoothly for everyone:
Please stay in your car during pick-up and do not walk up to the door or cafeteria. We will call your student to you as you drive up. This helps us keep students safe and keeps the pick-up line moving smoothly.

Important Calendar Reminder
To help keep your child’s learning on track, we’ve attached a handy Non-School Days Calendar for the upcoming academic year. We strongly encourage you to keep this image saved on your phone or posted on the fridge. Whenever possible, please use these scheduled days off—including professional development days, holidays, and extended breaks—to book routine doctor, dentist, and personal appointments. Minimizing mid-day checkouts helps ensure your child doesn't miss out on vital instruction and classroom activities.

Para ayudar a mantener el aprendizaje de su hijo/a al día, hemos adjuntado un práctico Calendario de Días No Lectivos para el próximo año académico. Les recomendamos encarecidamente guardar esta imagen en su teléfono o tenerla en el refrigerador. Siempre que sea posible, utilicen estos días libres programados—incluidos los días de desarrollo profesional, días festivos y vacaciones—para programar citas médicas, dentales y personales de rutina. Minimizar las salidas a mitad de la jornada ayuda a garantizar que su hijo no se pierda la instrucción ni las actividades esenciales del salón de clases.

Please do not drop off students before 7:40 a.m.
We are so excited to welcome our Cubs back for another wonderful school year! We hope you had a restful summer and are ready for a year filled with learning, growth, friendship, and joy.
As we get ready for the first day, please review the map and directions below (you can also watch the drop off/pick up video). Following our arrival and dismissal procedures helps us keep students safe, traffic moving smoothly, and our neighbors’ driveways clear.
🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Cars cannot enter the Sam Case drive-through drop-off/pick-up area without following the designated traffic route: 11th Street → Fogarty → 12th Street.
You may NOT cut into the drive-through line. Cars MUST be traveling WEST on 12th Street to enter the Sam Case drop-off/pick-up area.
If you are driving down 12th Street — HEADING EAST:
Take 12th Street to Eads.
Turn right on Eads.
Take the first left onto 11th Street.
Stop at the stop sign at Fogarty.
Turn left onto Fogarty.
Turn left onto 12th Street.
You are now in line to drive through the Sam Case drop-off/pick-up area.
If you are heading north on Eads toward Sam Case:
Take Eads to 11th Street.
Turn right onto 11th Street.
Stop at the stop sign at Fogarty.
Turn left onto Fogarty.
Turn left onto 12th Street.
You are now in line to drive through the Sam Case drop-off/pick-up area.

🚨 Important Safety Reminders
Please stay in your car. We do not have walk-up drop-off or walk-up pick-up.
Please do not cut into the drop-off/pick-up line.
Please do not stop or block our neighbors’ driveways.
Please be prepared to show your ID when picking up your child.
If you would like to speak with someone at school, please park and check in at the office. We are happy to help!

A huge thank you to Kama Almasi with HMSC, Rials Christensen, and the entire Western Flyer crew, for their collaborative outreach and partnership in providing this unique STEM and place-based learning experience for our amazing teacher team at Sam Case on Wednesday.
Beyond the powerful science learning, our staff also had the opportunity to experience the rich historical significance of the Western Flyer and its connection to storytelling, exploration, and human impact. From its legacy tied to John Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts’ historic voyage to the ways science and story help us better understand our relationship with the natural world, the experience was both inspiring and deeply meaningful.
Our teachers deepened their understanding of marine science, stewardship, and place-based learning experiences that will directly impact and inspire our students. We are incredibly grateful for this meaningful collaboration and the shared commitment to connecting learning, history, science, and community in authentic ways.
