Members of the Newport High School girls basketball team volunteered to fill food boxes Monday at Sam Case for recipients of the school’s Giving Tree! Coast guardsmen from Newport and Depoe Bay delivered the boxes of food and toys to nearly 40 Sam Case families. The Giving Tree is a long-standing tradition in LCSD schools to help families in need during the holidays.
